This bedroom was conceived to embody elegance and tranquility, guided by a brief emphasizing simplicity and muted sophistication. The composition is anchored by a thoughtfully restrained palette of earthy tones and nuanced green accents, fostering an atmosphere of comfort and serenity. The integration of exposed ceiling beams presented a unique design challenge. It made me want to highlight the ceiling and make it the focal point of the room. It inspired a solution where local rattan was employed as a ceiling feature. This deliberate intervention not only celebrates a local material but also introduces a subtle rhythmic drama, elevating the ceiling into a structural focal point and infusing the space with tactile warmth.
